GERHARD

The Candlestick uses a semi-finished borosilicate glass tube and is therefore made entirely of glass. The robust special glass, which enjoyed great popularity for the first time at the Bauhaus period and became the basis of many design classics, makes this candlestick durable and resistant.

A minimal reworking of the basic geometric shape of the cylinder gives it a novel and easy use and creates a stage for the candle where it can interact with the glass surface and its environment. The floating appearance of the candle and a double exposure effect create a magical and peotic "luminaire".

"Gerhard" is German Design Award Winner 2016.
